Meet The Team!

Tommy Gladden (Owner):

The low country has all ways been my home. Growing up just two houses down from Fort Moultrie made a great play ground for a kid. From the time I was 16 years old, I knew auto repairs was going to be my career. I went to Wando High School where I took two years of automotive training. After high school I went to Trident Technical College for two more years of training. I married my wife Laura in 1983, and we have two wonderful boys. I started working at C & M Automotive in 1979 as a cleanup boy. I left C&M in 1981 to take a job at a car dealership. In 1986 I returned to C&M, but this time as the new owner. I currently live in MCClellanville, and loving every minute of it. I love fishing, hunting, and scuba diving. I also have a captain’s license, pilot’s license, and I teach scuba diving.

Ben Blizard (Service Writer):

I have been married to my wife Tara for twenty years. We have 4 wonderful smart boys, and a beautiful daughter. I love to hunt, fish, softball, boating, and always having a good time. I am a self motivated person who loves to give it all he can in whatever I do. I enjoy helping people. I think that’s why I love my job so much. I have attended Management Success were I took Service Writer and Management classes. I enjoy living live to its fullest. I grew up in West Ashley, and currently live on Wadmalaw Island. I have been with C&M as a service writer for over 15 years. I was doing mechanic work 10 years before that.

Kenny Rohner (Shop Foreman):

I have 23 years of wonderful employment with C & M Automotive. I was employed at a dealer ship doing new car prep work. I started in 1989 at C&M as a technician’s helper, but soon worked my way up to a line technician. Over the years I have accomplished many levels of certifications. Certifications currently held are ASE Master Technician, A/C Recovery, and many others in different areas and specific car models. I have also achieved several certifications in management from Management Success in Glendale California. My job title at this time with the company is Shop foreman. I love my job, but I love my life more. I love my family time with my wife and two kids. Some of my personal interests are dirt bike riding, wake boarding, muscle cars, scuba diving, deep sea fishing, and family time. My favorite car is a 1968 to 1970 Chevy Chevelle, and the 1967 Corvette. I just bought my daughter a 1968 Chevy Nova, and can’t wait for us to start fixing it up. Chris Hatchell (Automotive Technician):

I have been working at C & M Automotive for a little over two years as a technician. I like riding four wheelers, dirt bikes, fishing, and target shooting. I currently live in Goose Creek and will be getting married in May, 2012.

Butch Baker (Automotive Technician):

I have been employed with C & M Automotive for over 5 years, following over 30 years in the Charleston area as a technician and service writer. After 5 years with this company I think I have found my home. I am certified in air conditioning, brakes, engine repairs, and transmissions. I married my long time girlfriend of 12 years, and currently live in Mt Pleasant. I have an 18 year old son named Carson who recently graduated from Wando. I enjoy fish, yard work, and hanging out with family and friends.

Toby Naumann (Automotive Technician):

I was born and raised in Charleston, and have been living in the Mt Pleasant area since 1995. I am 35 years old and love to fish, hunt, and spending time with the family. I have been a technician since 1996 and enjoy working in the industry very much.
